Happy New Year!!!

I'm 19 days late but Happy New Year everyone!!! Since 2013 has been a great year for me and 2014 is going to be even better ( I hope) I decided to do a post where I look back on 2013 and share my plans for 2014!!

Let's start with the beginning of 2013. After I have had a bit of a down time in 2012 because of really bad back pains I decided for myself to make 2013 my year (oh how cheesy). I finally found the right therapy for my backpains which meant I could enjoy things more. I could go to school every day, go out with friends and exercise again. That last thing changed me completely, inside and outside. I had gained a lot of weight so I started to exercise more and eat healthy. It made me feel so much better that I ended up exercising at least 45 minutes a day and not eating bad AT ALL. I did lose more than 20kg in a couple of months but obviously it wasn't a healthy lifestyle.

In June I graduated from high school and got my HAVO diploma. I think this summer was my best so far. I hung out with my friends a lot and because I felt more comfortable in my own body I was able to enjoy things more. I started gaining a little bit weight because I realised it's not good if you keep yourself from eating unhealthy food completely.

I had to figure out what I wanted to study and as you've might read in my earlier posts I choose the wrong thing. Well, maybe not the wrong course just the wrong school at the wrong time and I wasn't motivated at all so I dropped out after 2 months.  I have always wanted to study/ live in England and I just couldn't bare it that I had to study in the Netherlands for another 4 years.

My parents weren't too happy at first but when I found a job they supported me. But they didn't know that I wanted to go to England yet. They knew I always wanted it but not that I was seriously considering it, mainly because they knew the costs of studies in England and they are about 9 times more expensive than in the Netherlands.

Somewhere around December my sister and I went to this study fair and we found a stand form StudyGlobe. They are a company who help people who want to study abroad, which I wanted. After a lot of email conversations and one face to face appointment I can now officialy say I'm going to study in England after this summer!!

I will skip all the details, because there will probably come a post about it later, but I am so excited and I'm so thankfull my parents support me!

If that doesn't make you excited for my 2014 yet, keep reading.
First, I have booked a girls holiday to Kos in Greece with my 3 best friends! I'm so excited and I know it's going to be the best holiday ever and a perfect goodbye party before I leave for Uni.

Also, I really want to get into blogging more. I do a post once a month now ( maybe even less) and I really want to try and post more often. I might do a bit more photos too, but I will have to find a good camera first.

If you have any suggestions for blog posts of questions feel free to comment! xxx JJ
